Now add the surface water fee of $12.00 to the above increase and your sewage bill will be $ 76.80 in the year 2009 (assuming there is no increase in surface water fees before 2009). Bottom Line: In 2009, the minimum rate you pay will be $ 76.80. In the year 2010 your rates will increase again to pay for the Clearwater plan! (* Rates based on bi-monthly billing cycle) |
Everyone has seen the rate table chart in the Clearwater plan that shows a yearly rate increase of 8% per year for the first six years and a gradual tapering off to a 1% increase years later. The chart on the left is completely different chart and it's the chart the commissioners actually approved to pay for the Clearwater plan: (Note that this chart is only for the first five years) |
In 2005 our sewage bill was $44.00 Then the Commissioners raised it with the following results: 8-1-2005 > $44.00 (Base Rate) 10-1-2005 > $48.00 + 9.1% 7-1-2006 > $51.40 + 9.4% 7-1-2007 > $55.60 + 8.1% 7-1-2008 > $60.00 + 8% 7-1-2009 > $64.80 + 8% |
This chart has no wholesale rate increases for Milwaukie |
11-10-05 The county commissioners rescinded their rate increase today in an effort to support their slap suit against the Citizens of CCSD#1 and our right to vote on the Clearwater plan. It seems that the rate increase for CCSD#1 and Tri-Cities districts was illegal because there were no public hearings on the rate table they approved, and we would have exposed this fact in court. On the positive side, we saved everyone in CCSD#1 at least $18, and about $9 in monthly fees in the Tri-Cities district. |
