"Dollars Down the Drain" media event 2/12/05

We are your neighbors and local business owners who

are trying to place some common sense into this issue.

Clackamas County wants to consolidate three service

districts into one, demolish two newly rebuilt treatment

plants and spend millions in pumping, piping, and the

expansion of the Oregon City plant. This plan will cost

millions and it will have no benefit to the residents of

Oak Grove.  Here are some reasons why you should

Vote NO on 3-164

Our plant exceeds all federal and state standards

We have capacity for the next 30 years.

We have spent millions on new pumps,

new electrical systems, and backups.

Just installed a new oxygenating system

We are completely debt free

We have a $5 million in cash reserve

We Have Local Control

Do you really want to give up our community

investment and go into a debt scheme to expanded

the treatment plant in Oregon City?  (NO By 80%)

Please visit our Candidate Page as our community

takes back local control of this great asset
